Prompt Pack
5 Prompts I'd Use With Fable 5 Right Now
The window's short, so these are built to leave you with something that keeps working after it closes. Paste, swap in your own details, run.
1. Upgrade the instructions you use every day
Here are the custom instructions I use with AI every day. Rewrite them to be sharper, more specific, and more reliable, so they work well on any model. Tell me what was making them flaky, then give me the improved version. My current instructions: [paste yours]
Why: the best model writes the clearest instructions. Save the output and it keeps working on cheaper models long after the window closes.
2. Pressure-test a decision before you commit
Pressure-test this before I commit to it. Argue the strongest case against it, find the failure points I'm not seeing, and list the assumptions I'm making that might be wrong. Don't be agreeable, be rigorous. Here's the plan / idea / decision: [paste it]
Why: this is where a frontier model earns its cost. Use it on a system design, a business idea, or a choice you’re stuck between.
3. Have it build you a working prototype
Build me a working prototype of this as a single HTML file I can open in the browser. Make it clean and real, not a wireframe, with proper styling so it looks like a finished product. Put all the CSS and JavaScript inline so the single file just works. Build: [describe the tool, dashboard, or page you want]
Why: prompt to a real, working thing. You keep the file whether or not you keep the model.
4. Turn a task you repeat into a reusable system
I do this same task every week: [describe it]. Design a repeatable system that does it for me. Give me the step-by-step process, a clear definition of what a good result looks like, and a prompt I can paste into a cheaper model each time so I never rebuild this from scratch.
Why: build the system once with the best model, then run it forever on a cheap one.
5. Make it the planner, not the doer
You're the planner, not the executor. Take this job: [paste it]. Break it into steps, decide which steps genuinely need a top model and which a cheaper one can handle, and write me the exact prompt for each step. Optimise for the least expensive path that still hits the bar you set.
Why: the whole move in one prompt. The big model thinks and delegates, the cheap models do the work.
A note on the window
Fable 5 is included in Pro, Max, and Team plans up to 50% of your weekly usage through July 7. After that it moves to usage credits ($10 per million input tokens, $50 output). Anything you build with these prompts keeps working after, on whatever model you drop back to.
